Our last day of Soundbites Week and we arrived at Bourton-on-the-Water. It was an early start today and the village was sleepy, but stirring. As usual, we announced The Search for Gloucestershire’s Next Poet Laureate, set up our ‘stall’ of laureateship and soundbite week flyers and began our readings. After a few selected poems from Seamus Heaney’s ‘100 Poems’ and letting people know of the search, we continued to share a range of other poetry. No additional street interviews were had, but more soundbites from other locations will be uploaded within the week!
